Los Angeles, CA — On Wednesday, May 12, comedian and producer, Mitch Rouse, will premiere “Porch Festival” — a special show of music and comedy on porch-festival.com at 8pm PST. 100% of the proceeds will benefit the World Health Organization’s fund for relief of the COVID-19 virus.
“Porch Festival” is the celebratory and fundraising show hosted by Mitch Rouse and came about as a wish to be able to contribute to the fight of the unprecedented pandemic brought on by the worldwide coronavirus outbreak. “I was talking to my family about how we could contribute,” says Rouse.
“Calling my friends around the country it was evident that I’m not the only one wanting to help in this global devastation. I’m a comedian of trade and this is a way I contribute. I also know there are many artists who had to cancel or postpone shows, and so I wanted to give them a platform to contribute too. While socially distancing. I’m thrilled and excited about the amount of talent who has pulled together for this to happen. Maybe we all get a chance to feel a sense of normalcy, if even just for half an hour.”
Artists all over the world are involved, including Andrea Bendewald, David Pasquesi, Ike Reilley, and Claire George.
